Things To Do
(Hampshire, Kent)
Magical musical fluff
With my wavy flyaway hair and my comfy brown shoes
With a wave I must ignore but I'm not sure.
On a smile I can see for miles and miles
On a frown it's getting me down, down, down

Out comes the sun I know it's fine
It disappears from time to time

When I tumble from your room with things to do
When I just want to be slow and say no,no

Out comes the sun I know it's fine
It disappears from time to time
Time to time, time to time

When my head is in a spin just watch me go
With my wavy, flyaway hair and my comfy brown shoes.
Rich started writing the song on a work course in 1998. It was later finished (and recorded on the same day!) by Rich & Ben whilst Jon was upstairs recording something else. We set about looking through the dictionary for some cool words that we had always wanted to see in songs, words like 'Tumble' and 'comfy brown shoes'. The vocals were sung by Rich, Ben and Jon around one mic in Ben's bedroom.

This is our impression of Simon and Garfunkel!
The lyrics for the last verse were based on a Jerky Boys sketch: "Watch me spin" & "Watch me go"
